Bibianne Bysterveld of Fasken Martineau DuMoulin LLP (Vancouver) will discuss how to properly prepare your resume and cover letter for upcoming applications. This session will be beneficial to those preparing their summering and articling applications this spring and summer. All students are welcome. |

Alison Cowan in the LCO and representatives of the Law Society of BC will visit Victoria to speak to third year students about the articling program and process in BC. If you are graduating from law school this year and will be completing your articles in BC, you should come out to hear more about this process. |

Important for students applying for 2013-2014 articles. The LCO will explain the recruitment process across Canada and go over preparing your application packages. Most students will apply this summer (2012), for the 2013-2014 articling term. |

Michael Litchfield and Michael Jakeman will discuss the REAL Program and its benefits, when the postings come out, and how to apply. The program is open to second year law students only, but first year students are welcome to attend for information. |

All first year students who are planning to apply for summer 2013 positions at any of the big firms in Vancouver, Calgary or Toronto should attend. The LCO will explain the recruitment process (including On-Campus Interviews) and go over deadlines for applications for different provinces and cities. STUDENTS WILL NEED TO PREPARE THEIR APPLICATIONS THIS SUMMER (2012), as the applications are due very early in September 2012. |

If you’re not sure how much of yourself to reveal to a firm, you will find this session helpful. Morgan Camley from McCarthy Tétrault and Lara Percy from Adrian & Co. will speak to students about preparing applications and attending interviews as either an LGBT student or a student who has other unique circumstances. All students are welcome and encouraged to attend. Lunch will be provided. |

The law school is honoured to have Mary-Ellen Turpel Lafond as a guest speaker. She will speak to students about her unique career path and her current work as BC’s First Representative for Children and Youth. Ms. Turpel-Lafond has won numerous awards for her work. Before this position, Ms. Turpel-Lafond was an administrative judge in Saskatchewan and a professor at various Canadian law schools. |
