LAW 501 (1.5) Graduate Seminar in Law and Society

A critical introduction to theoretical perspectives on Law and Society.  This course is designed to expose students to a range of substantive issues in advanced legal research, as a foundation for the development of each student’s dissertation research.


LAW 502 (1.5) Graduate Seminar in Applied Legal Methodology

Open only to Graduate students in Law

A review of methodological approaches to advanced legal research, particularly as applied to the diverse research interests of seminar participants.  This course is intended to support each student’s implementation of their research question through presentation, commentary and refinement.


LAW 590 (1.5-3.0) Directed Studies in Law (LL.M. program)

Open only to Graduate students in Law

Individual studies under the direct supervision of one or more faculty members.  The content, credit value and method of evaluation must be approved by the instructor and the Director of Graduate Legal Studies prior to registering in this course.
NoteMay be taken more than once, so long as course content is different from that previously taken.  Pro forma required.
