Jack Shen
Desktop Support Analyst
Jack Shen is responsible for desktop computing support at the Faculty of Law and offers software support, advice and assistance with all aspects of desktop computing at multiple university departments. Other responsibilities include one-on-one and group training sessions, maintaining up-to-date technical information for supported departments and documenting requests for technical assistance and problem resolution.
Jack graduated from the University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC) in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science. Prior to joining UVic, he worked as a technical support representative at Shaw Communications, an information technology support technician at the College of New Caledonia; a computer support person with the City of Prince George, an information system analyst at the Forest Practices Board and an information technology analyst at AbitibiBowater Inc.
