Stephanie Mitchell

Law Careers Officer
B.J.H.(University of King's College), LL.B. (University of Victoria)

Stephanie graduated from UVic Law in 2005. As a student, she represented UVic as a member of the school’s Client Counselling team at competitions in Oregon, California and Hawaii. Stephanie returned to journalism after graduation, where she used many of the listening and analytical skills she learned in law school. She worked for CBC Radio in Vancouver and Victoria, and with Health Canada in Ottawa.

As Law Careers Officer, Stephanie helps students decide which career paths to follow, and advises them on how to find jobs and succeed in a professional working environment. She works with legal employers across Canada and arranges for employers to come to the law school to share their experiences about working in law-related fields.
