Alison Cowan

Law Careers Officer
B.A. (UBC), LL.B. (UVic)

Alison obtained a B.A. in Psychology from the University of British Columbia in 2003 and an LL.B. from the University of Victoria in 2006.  She was admitted to the British Columbia bar in 2007 and worked at law firms in Kelowna and Victoria practicing commercial and estate litigation before joining the UVic Law Careers Office in 2009.  During law school, Alison was active with the UVic Law Students Society, the Human Rights Law Club and the Legal Information Clinic.  

 

As the Law Careers Officer, Alison works with UVic law students and alumni to help them find employment in law and related fields.  She liaises with legal employers across Canada and invites many of them to come to the law school to discuss their professions and various careers opportunities with students.
