Colloquium on Political, Social, and Legal Theory session, coordinated
with the theme of the conference, featuring Jim Tully (Political
Science, Law, Philosophy and Indigenous Governance, UVic) speaking on
the topic, "On the Nature of the 'New' Imperialism."
The papers linked immediately below will serve as the readings for the
seminar, although Jim Tully's presentation will be a substantial development
of their argument, especially focusing on the issue of supranational
political community. You will find Jim Tully's papers here

The Demcon conference begins with dinner, followed by a set of informal
remarks and then conversation on indigenous perspectives on political
collaboration/political incorporation at a supranational level led by
Val Napoleon, Dawnis Kennedy
and Paul Chartrand.
