Course descriptions for the 2011-12 academic year are currently being collected and added to the links below. If a 2011-12 course description is not listed immediately below, scroll down to see whether the course description from previous years is available for viewing. Although we can not guarantee that the same material will be covered and the same evaluation method used, these existing descriptions may still serve as a guideline to assist you in your course selection. Not all courses are offered every year.

The university has transitioned to a new database system. To meet the parameters set by the new system, the 'F' and 'S' (Fall and Spring) designations for sections have been replaced with 'A' for all courses in all sessions. The semester designation of courses are now identified by the year and month in which they begin (eg. For 2011, all fall term (Sept-Dec) courses are categorized as being a part of the 201109 term (2011 for the year, 09 for the numerical month in which the term starts). Spring term 2012 (Jan-Apr) will be the 201201 term.

Brief, Senate-approved course descriptions for the Faculty of Law can be found on the UVic Academic Calendar website. You can obtain more detailed course descriptions by clicking on "Current Course Documents" or "Older Course Documents" on the blue menu bar below.

Current course schedules and exam schedules can be found on the Important Dates page in the Current Students section of this website. (Click on the blue "Course and exam schedules" tab and select the appropriate session.)
